Hi guys,
Anybody out there that collects old plates that could tell me for certain what colors a 1929 New Jersey plate is supposed to be ?

It seems like in 1916 they were white & red. Then the listing jumps to 1939 in which the colors were orange and black.

seems to me a 1929 NJ plate would be rust colored all over.

Why is there never enough time or money to do it right the first time, but ALWAYS enough to do it over?

Rust all over, or just the part sitting in water in the basement http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif I have one I am trying to sell on e-bay and someone is telling me it has been re-painted the wrong color. I got it out of a pretty grundgy basement when a family member passed away a few years ago and cannot beleive it was re-painted, but you never know.
