Help, I need a little help on installing my driveshaft loop. The one I have is a bolt in. The loop bolts through the bottom of the floor board with over sized washers going to the inside of the car, will this hold? I was thinking about cutting some metal strips the same size of the loop to put inside the car, is this to far overboard? Any crticism, suggestions or help will be appreciated graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I too didn't trust the washers and did just as you stated. I used some 2" x 1/4" thick steel strip to make a plate to sandwich the sheetmetal floor pan. I believe this is the strongest mount method.

I used large washers for the 3/8" bolts and it works fine .... drive shaft broke once and the hoop did its job .. no problems ..

Thanks for the info guys. I went ahead and cut me some plates that are about half as thick as the loop. I think I'll go ahead and use them just for my own piece of mind. Thanks again for the input graemlins/beers.gif
