You must be aware that the shipping services offered through ebay are linked to paypal. Paypal fees are expensive. The USPS shipping costs recently went up, but for items that are light, or heavy items that will fit into flat rate priority mail boxes (provided for free and a cost of $8.00 sized 12X13.5X3.5) no matter the weight to any ware in USA, is the way to go. All the USPS PM boxes are free flat rate or not and that can save you some also. But for large heavy boxes UPS and FedEx are cheaper.

And DHL beats UPS and Fed Ex hands down.
