Cool! Looks like you may have gotten a wee bit of air under there!

What's your launch method? 60 ft? I'm currently trying to tame my 2.38 60'...

Looks better than a 1.79. What did your converter stall at? You said it was spinning? Are you using any kind of traction device? The rear of my cars lift a lot more than yours, don't know if that's good or bad.

it probably spun a revolution before hooking, and the picture captured the hook.
My launch method so far is to stage at 1700rpms, and put the hammer down on the 3rd Amber.
ATI 10" converter.

No traction devices so far, i'm saving my pennies for a particular set-up i'm looking to try.

thanks for the compliments!

if any of ya are looking for better traction method use a truck arm conversion you will never hook better than that becuase it puts all the power to the center of your car. Pretty much your car will handle just like a porsche or ferrari becuase they engineer there car to be very centered if that makes sense. Just my .02 cents.

I'm surprise no one here has suggested the Cal-Trac Bars.....they allow you to adjust the imaginary center of gravity letting you to dial them in very nicely...

I've got them on mine, but I haven't had much luck tuning them yet. My 60' was a 2.38 on drag radials.

thanks guys!

I'm not planning on using cal-tracs, but in a month or two i have another set-up i plan to try out, until then i might give a set of slapper bars a try.

Dave, those are Hoosier Slicks, 28x 10.5" C07 compound, 14 PSI. I havent the chance to play with tire pressure yet.

Try calling John himself or Richard over there @calvert and see if you might get some suggestions on base settings. I know there is alot of adjusting to do but I've seen them work miracles on most leaf cars. What hole on the eyelet plate are you using?
