This is my combo. 396 .060 over, closed chamber heads with stock valves, 1.72 comp cams roller tip rockers, Isky 292 duration 590 lift cam, torker 2 intake with 800 cfm holley carb, hooker competition headers, HEI distributor. In my 69 chevelle with full interior and a 4.56 rear the car ran 12.10 @ 114 mph. I was wondering if anyone could estimate the hp of this engine. I am installing it In my 66 elky with a M22 and 3.73 rear end (chevelle had TH400 and 3,500 stall) does any one see problems with this combo? any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just for fun I plugged your MPH and a guestimate of 3700 lbs for your car into a Virtual Engine Calculator and it came up with 514HP.

The M-22 and 3.73s might be a problem. A 396 is not a 454 when it comes to torque and the 2.20 low gear is not the best thing unless you have some very steep gears.
