Well I was looking on Craigslist.org for Chevelles for the hell of it and came across one that would suite my financial problems. I was immediately tickled. I called my dad up at work (I'm 16 btw) and told him and about it and he got all grumpy. Little story. We use to live in Tuscan, AZ and we had '72 Chevelle. My dad put so much time into it (no exaggeration). Nice leather custom seats my mother purchased for him as a gift when he was across seas during Desert Storm. All the body work, painting, etc was all done by him though. It was just a beautiful car. Well turns out my dad gets order for Alaska. Now being only 2 or 3 stripes in the Air Force, you don't get paid very well. We had no way of getting it up here. So we had to sell it. My dad sold it to a guy he knew hoping he could perhaps repurchase later on from him. He sold it dirt cheap; around $3-4K. 3 days later the guy wreck's it. My dad just about died. We'll 12 years later I want to get us a project Chevelle. I already got a truck ('92 Chevy 1500) that I'm working on (body work sucks), but I' want to trade my quad ('04 YFZ450, easily worth 3.5K+) for this '72 Chevelle. My dad I think lost interest is cars ever since he gained weight and bought his damn Harley. I think my mom though on the other hand wouldnt mind. I called the guy though to see if he still had it and he said some guy said he was going to purchase it tonight. However, he said that it has fallen through 3 times so he's not quite sure. Anyhow, I have been around cars all my life and hoping it's not sold. Sorry for the lengthy post. I have been excited all day. Hopefully everything works out. Also heres a link just for those who might be interested.

Good luck, I hope you get it, maybe it'll help renew your dad's interest in muscle cars again
