I went and read all of the posting and 90 percent talked about 2 bolt main small block chevy's , My posting is asking about BB chevy's

Same deal except a Rat will take a lot more power before you need to worry about messing with the lower end.
You never did answer Roberts question,, what are you planning??
And the point was the girdle does very little to address the problem of cap movement which is a big issue when you really start leanin on these things big or small block.
An engine is an engine, the same principles still apply ;)
And,,, I cannot post my opinions of Cat Power's quality control except to say I don't use their stuff :D
