Does anyone here utilize excell spreadsheets to track race data? That would be a wonderful way to share information. What worked what didnt info? I started but I am by no means a seasoned racer!

It's funny you should mention that. I was just going through my old files last night and came up with an old spreadsheet I created to keep track of all that. Of course it's from 1997, my first year out of college, when I just started getting into Excel so it's nothing great. I stopped using it a year later when I sold my car to start a project ('67 velle) Now that I am an advanced user I think I could create a killer spreadsheet with some real nice macros for the new race car.

I think Microsoft Access is a better program to use. Much more powerful and better macros too.

I'll email you the one from '97 if you want to look at it.

I would like to have it e-mailed to me if possible.
Thanks

Here's a link to one that I use. The original layout was provided by Todd Giesler. I added the formulas to auto calculate the splits. I find it very useful.

I wonder If there would be sufficient response to warrant a forum called Track sheets that users could post excell sheets of their various combos and, what worked what didnt, data. I am not that advanced with excell but even at my infancy level I can appreciate the power of track data in that format!! HMMM???? anyone else.

My tracking sheet contains my veh build costs date parts purchased for each car then I have tabs for each cars track data.
