This may have been a repeat - but did anyone see what they did with the front lower control arms on that Lemans project? After boxing them, He cut the spring perch out, added 1" of new material, then welded it all back together - all to lower the front end?!?! Seems like a lot of work when you could just cut a coil off or buy springs at the size you want.... Just seemed like a waste of energy.....

in a way yes more work ......... but from a ride point of view it will still be smooth as a coupe de ville :D

Thats a old trick that has been around since the 50's. before lowerd spindles and and springs.
