I looked at every 68-72 at CB07 and could NOT fine one car with a floor console equipped with a powerglide transmission. Now I'm beginning to wonder if such a configuration ever existed. I've seen a factory 68 Camaro with a floor console powerglide tranny but never a Chevelle. Anybody got any names of Chevelle owners who have such a car? Any production numbers?

I have seen a few Chevelles with PG and a console from 1968. It has just been from seeing them over the years. Most of the cars today have been updated to TH350, and after 1969 the 3 speed was the more used trans. Figure that the cars with a console also would be of the better option type which most buyers would step up to the TH350 before the console option. Just my .02

They were offered. We pulled a shifter and console out of a '68 in a boneyard many, many years ago. 307 car, red w/ black interior.
In fact, I think we also still have a '69 Console w/ Powerglide shifter in the "spare parts" pile.

My cousin's 68 has the original powerglide, with the correct shift lens in the console... I also I bought a console off ebay about a year ago that's got a powerglide shift lens, and the shifter has the 2 speed detents in it.

Our son's '69 Chevelle was a bucket seat and console car, with the powerglide, and 250 engine. The car got slightly updated.
