I have a canadain 66 MalibuSS 396 car that is originally cypress green (actually a 65 color) and would like to see what it looks like on a car. Car was painted a dark blue by previous owner. Car is stripped and the body work has begun and would like to see what the color looks like on a car before I choose to paint it that color again. Its between the original cypress green or the greenish turquoise color. I have all the correct dated motor components to assemble correct motor from waterpump to dist and carb to starter, so Im leaning towards original color, but never been a fan of the dark green cars.

Here is a picture of a car very nearly like yours, except that it is in Tropic Turquoise. It is a '66 Canadian Malibu SS with a 396. I found it online back in 2002 at a dealer in B.C. called The Bowtie Barn.

For a picture of a Cypress Green '65 or '66 I'd have to scan from a brochure. I have seen Cypress Green on a '66 Big Chevy in person, but I don't have any pictures other than what can be found in brochures.

Since there are numerous subtle detail and option differences for the Canadian cars, you should shoot me a PM or e-mail to discuss if you feel like it.

I have a canadain 66 MalibuSS 396 car that is originally cypress green (actually a 65 color)And a Canadian 66 color as well. Pretty color and not too often seen. With all the 'correct' parts for the car, stick with the correct color as well - don't think you'd be disappointed.
