I just bought a set of Coated Hooker headers part # 2220, for a BBC in a 64 - 67 Chevelle. They have one tube on each side that goes outside the frame rail. My Car sits Real low. and am curious if they will work. I am currently swapping from a SB to the BB and dont have the engine in the car and wont for awhile. Is anyone out there running these headers ???
Any info would be appreciated !
Thanks,
Duane

You have the big tubes with the 2 1/8 primaries its going to be tight. You probably should have gone with the 2 inch primaries thats what we used on both our 65 and 66 BB Chevelles.

Rick.. Thanks for the input. I went with the 2 1/8" tubes due to the displacement being 511" and I plan on spinning it upwards of 7800. Also its a track only toy so it wont be seeing the bumps and potholes a driver would. The sad part is I plan on setting the engine rearward approx. 8" was going to do it this winter, now am going to run it the way it is and do it next winter and these deinetly wont work then. Thanks for the input.I did some measureing and comparing against the old SB headers and it doesnt look as bad as I thought when I 1st seen them.
Again .. Thanks,
Duane
