I looking at my holley 850 dp and it has four corner idle adj. now the front main has the tran slot set ok(little squres) but do have to set the
back the same way.right now you can't see the rear
trans slot from the bottom. if i was to adj to make little squres this will put pressure on the accelerator pump,would i need to turn the locking nut that adjs the acc. pump till its not putting pressure on it ,i'm lost on this one :confused: my motor idles good now
but this some thing that i saw wheni removed the carb

Pretty much what you said is what you need to do. The transition slots in the front and rear should show no more than about .040". If you have to adjust the pump nut because of setting the blades, do it. It's not hard to do. If the carb is working good as is, it might be best to leave it alone.
