I'm composing a detailed spreadsheet with information on engine combos comparing HP/TQ/times and would like everyone who has Dyno results and/or a timeslip to please post your complete engine combos.

Please include:
* Displacement, Stroke X Bore
* Block info (deck height, manufacturer, material, etc)
* Head Info (brand, model, chamber size, port size, valve sizes/types, porting, etc)
* Camshaft info (brand, model, type [hyd, solid, flat, roller], lift, total duration, duration @ .050, LSA, ICL, valve timing, overlap, etc)
* Valvetrain info (valve sizes, rocker ratio, rocker type, spring info, etc)
* Exhaust info (headers/manifolds, type, brand, primary size/length, collector size/length, exhaust tube size, muffler type, etc)
* Compression ratio
* Piston Info (dome/dish/flat-top, valve reliefs, type [hypereutectic, cast, forged], foating/pressed, ring type, quench area, weight, etc)
* Connecting rods (length, material, brand, model, etc)
* Ignition system (distributor type/brand/model, timing specs, ignition control box, wires, plugs, gap, coil, vacuum advance, etc)
* Intake manifold (type, brand, model)
* Carburetor Info (size, type, brand, model, modifications [squirter, cam, pump size, pri/sec jets, power valve, porting/polishing], etc)
* Drivetrain info (clutch type/size/brand/model, converter size/stall speed/brand/model, transmission type/brand, rear gears, tire size, tire type [slicks, radials, etc], other modifications)
* Power adders (Funny gas, superchargers, turbos, etc)
* Other Specs (blueprinted? balanced? oiling system modifications? crank lightening? windage tray? baffles? crank scraper? plate honed? block filler? cooling modifications? car weight? anything else?)
* HP/TQ/ET

Just try and give me as much information as possible. I'm trying to make this as detailed as I can. If there's anything else that contributes to HP/TQ/ET that you feel may apply, put that in as well. And please use real-world info only.

When I'm done, it will be a great reference for anyone building an engine (especially for a 1st timer) or just for fun :D

Plus, no offence TC, the engine combo section needs to be sorted, weeded out, and updated (I will go through them and add to my spreadsheet what's applicable as well).

I might make a webpage as well, sorted by categories and sub-categories for easy navigation and quick reference.

hey, i can throw up a quick php/sql database for you that makes it easier.. that way people can just plug all their info into a webpage.. no sorting needed smile.gif

vehicle weight percentage front to rear?
launch rpm?
launch type? (clutch, footbrake, t-brake)
shift rpm?
finish line rpm?
fuel system components?
track elevation?
If actual dyno results, what type (engine or chassis) as well as brand?
suspension type and mods made?
all 1/4 mile ET incrementals?
oil brand, type & viscosity?

anything else? :D

Didn't see MPH in there, sorry if I missed it.
Might I suggest Hp/Tq/MPH/ET.
Mph vs weight is a much better indicator of real HP as opposed to ET.
Plus it tends to keep us dyno guys honest :D
ET is largely effected by how good the car & you are. MPH will be effected but not on as large a scale & can be within a few MPH between a "good" & "bad" run.

yup sorry im not quite done yet!! smile.gif What you see is only what I've done so far.. ill leave a not when it's done!

I agree with wolf here. ET involves too many variables regarding driving skill/style. Reaction time, staging technique, launch, traction, shifting technique, etc. MPH x weight seems to be a lot better indicator of HP.

It looks really good so far though. :D

Might I suggest a "quick fill" option for guys like me that use a stock GM crate engine short block.
