furball8994 Jun 12th, 07, 7:05 PM Nothing special. Just slip the bushings on the bar, bolt it loosely to the frame, install the links, tighten everything to spec. I believe its 15ftlb on the links and 25ftlb on the frame bolts.
bdc1013 Jun 12th, 07, 9:30 PM its just i've never looked under the car and im wondering if the suspension is the same as my 71 chevelle? if it is then it should be easy second time around.
bdc1013 Jun 13th, 07, 2:51 AM we went to install the sway bar, its much bigger than the one on my chevelle, pretty heavy too. we had everything but the U bolts to bolt the sway bar to the frame so we were not able to install it tonight, we have a place near by called gm sports salvage that has only classic chevy stuff and a junkyard in the back too, im going to go swipe some hardware and U bolts since you cant buy them new at our parts shop. I'll keep you all updated. pics SOON!

U Bolts? That doesn't sound right. There is a U bracket that houses the bushings that bolts to the frame. I highly recommend the Chassis Manual and Assembly Manual. These two books will pay for themselves in no time.
raiderjefe Jun 13th, 07, 4:37 PM I used a 1.25" sway bar from a trans am. I also got it at GM Sports Salvage, just make sure to get the the U shaped bushing/retainers with the bar. You can slide an open end wrench over the bar to tell you what size it is. I would reconmmend new bushings, though the old ones get pretty brittle.
bdc1013 Jun 14th, 07, 3:23 AM we put it on tonight, rides great. yeah i meant the U bracket not U bolt. my fault. we used new bushings on the end links but the bushings we got for the frame mount were too small so we used the ones on the sway bar, which werent in the worst condition. we got the u brackets at gm sports, the guy hooked it up for free with some window cranks. great place, pretty knowlegable, unlike Kragen. "big block"..... "so is that a 350?" i just walked away.
