All you need is about 900 reliable horsepower and a car that passes all the safety requirements. That will BARELY get you to 200. Not even sure if 900 will move an A body that fast.

Talked to a guy in Neveda when I lived out there. He said he did it once and it was expensive getting setup for it. The Tech Inspector kicks out the rif raf. Get the rule book for running it, as you may also need a license for certain speeds.

No bucks.Sawzall and sheets of aluminum.(jk on the sawzall)I'm waiting on the SCTA rule book at the moment. What I'm most interested in is the aero issues that I'm going to run into.I'm more likely to end up in the rif raf contingent,I'm afraid.

plan on making a couple trips to the flats to what guys are running and what the tech inspection is like. it will help you get a realistic idea of what's required as far as safety equipment and drivetrain stuff. It's really not at all like drag racing as far as the engines are concerned, more like nascar or off-shore boat racing.
