Mount Evans?

At least you should be able to coast home from that elevation.

So, what's the miles per gallon on that thing. ;)

Very nice view you have available to you. I get to see a helicopter or jet every now and then.

When we lived in Nunn, my wife worked in Fort Collins. She sat behind her workplace and looked at the mountains while she ate lunch!
We would go up to Estes Park about every weekend. Just beautiful, wish I would have never left there.

It is a great state, my family and I took a little vacation over to Grand Junction last week and driving through the mountains is awesome. In just a day trip you can see so many different land areas here without ever leaving the state.

The only bad thing is that we have what, like 20% less HP up here than most of you guys. That is at the 5000' range, imagine at 10,000' what the loss is, some of the passes are that high or more. I feel bad for the truckers going through the mountains also, they just creep along going up the hills, a couple of them I saw just ran out of power and stalled out right there in the road.

Yep, I've got a 1970 Chevelle, but I have not joined RMCC yet. Are you a member and is it a good group of people?

I guess I should figure out how to put my car info in my signiture or whatever that's called.

Brad,

RMCC is a great group of folks. We actually have a meeting out in Franktown at the Rambler Ranch on Sunday, the 17th (Father's day). If you like, you can call me for the details, I guarantee you'll have a good time. 500+ AMCs, Nash's, Ramblers. The owner has 3 museum quality buildings with an unreal collection of literature, dealer stuff, and period correct stuff. Very cool.

PLUS, we have the ACES Rocky Mtn. Regional in Castle Rock in August.

My number is 719-487-3257

Thanks for the offer David. The reason I haven't looked into RMCC much is because I figured that all the meetings and fun stuff would be on weekends and I work every weekend, except today. I am definately going to try and make it down to Castle Rock in August this year. Is that an all day thing till like 10 pm?

Brad, it's all day Friday and until 4pm Saturday. We'll be hanging out telling lies until the wee hours of the morning.

We've got several members in the same boat with weekends.
