That's awsome. Never heard of it, but I'd try it. Honestly, don't drink beer much, unless it's hot out and the brew is really cold.

The chat would've been fun but I had to get up early, meeting Aaron at the POL dump at 0420. We got some killin' to do, trees that is. Youngest son grad ceremony this afternoon, gotta be back in time for that.

Hmmmm, never tried BuzzsawBrown.
I'll have a brew or two on the weekend.
If I've worked hard, say laid hardwood flooring, definately a brewski.
Mandatory Brew
1. In the garage working on one of the cars, someone drops by
2. BBQ time

I parked the Elky on the closest hardstand (paved parking area) since I've actually been polishing on it. The damp weather is keeping the dust down.
At work, gonna depart at 1000 to get ready for the daughter's graduation.
GOTAGO was thinking about the Baxter's Auto Parts Show in Tacoma. Dunno if worthwhile with the drizzle......I'll call should my social obligations end early.

I thought you were talking about eco-terrorists raiding your POL dump. If that ever happens, I got some skills.............

The graduation went well. Afterward to a Korean BBQ, cookers built right into the table. Just above each table is a huge range hood and fire-suppression nozzle. Good chow.

So, no Baxter's show. With wifey gone, what didya do today?

Put the mud flaps on the truck that I'd been meaning to do and cleaned the house so I won't get my a$$ chewed.

Did they bring the chow out to you and you cooked it? They do that in Japan and its awesome chow.

So, ya put on mudflaps and cleaned house, nice!

I pissed Frank off on another thread and laughed my ass off about the no engine and loud mufflers comment he made.:beers:

Yup, the flame-heated metal dome is in the middle of the table. They bring out the raw meats, onion, garlic, Korean pepper slices....you cook right there. They also lay on a good selection of Korean side dishes. If ya really do move, I'll treat ya there as a fare-well lunch kinda thing. Ya know, you should just retire out here. What ya gonna do in San Antonio?

Frank,

I'm in my own private hell. I've ambitions of some 1/4 mile action with a car budget the size of my son's piggy bank. Free time = some but often not when the boys are out playing. Mainly trying to keep some sorta family life. The remodel is not done and I'm pouring Aluminum Block amounts of cash away for #2's college every month. Trying to get her 1st two years put aside before fall so I don't have to worry OR hear about it all the time.
#2 destroying the 01 PT a few months back means for sure, the Elky will soldier on as my Daily Driver. Can't get too stupid with it.

I'm continuing to make the Elky more safe. Lotsa stuff to do. I have the brakes done, now on to a long list. Then comes some suspension stuff and race rubber.....but I can start running the car before then with Mouse Power. There are a few "no engine" cars with loud pipes around for me to go after now. Bigger fish will have to wait until Charity Rat is built.

If Chris gets tired of the Nova, you know who to call! Still think the mostly stock MEENO towing a RatNova would be the ultimate....intermediate step is to build the 454 and proof it in the Elky for now.....then tell the wife I need a Nova....just like when we started out..... I'll have to plot all this later......and have a permanent job. Should know in a month or so if my outfit wins the contract re-bid. Hmmm 10-bolt 8.5 corporate diff from Darryl's pal, R&P and POSI from a late 70s Z-28 w/3.42 or 3.73 gears....Yukon Axles

RatVette getting 27 deg mech adv from its OEM tach drive distributor.
Only need/want 20 deg.
Got comments about using JB Weld to limit the mech adv by shortening the adv slot in the distrib? Let it dry then file the opening to the right width. Do ya think the JB Weld will stay put? Wouldn't want stuff coming loose in the engine....

We need to hook up in the chat some nite's. I used to regularly chat with ZZ69chevelle, and JWA, every evening around Midnite. Good time's.

Pete,

ALGER is between Mt Vernon and Bellingham, right? Cripes! I though ARLINGTON was the end of the world......
I can see your lack of enthusiasm for coming down to Lakewood just past Tacoma.

I saw the MSD distributor has a threaded adv limiting shaft and drop-in bushings to limit the advance, held on my a locking nut. Will see if I can do the same on my Vette distributor.

Chat at midnight? A bit late for an early-riser like me....

(Hands George a program)

Dave is in Alger, Pete is in Brier, which is just east of Mount Lake Terrace at the King/Snohomish county line.

Pete was kind enough to donate lugs for my new track wheels. Thanks again Pete!

Now if I can find a donated complete 10/12 bolt posi, and a pr of donated air bags... :D

I hate being broke. Between Uncle Sam and the ex-wife... maybe if I parked the Buick on an off ramp with a "Need Posi" sign...

Not yet, after working yesterday I had to spend the day prepping for vacation.
Ended up pulling the whole intake off the motor home today because the gasket was blown at the exhaust crossover. That sucked! But good news is that the Headers and kick-ass flowmastered exhaust motorhome now has a Edelbrock 2-O intake to go with it. Changed to a 180 themostate from a 195 as well. Found two nasty vacuum leaks! Got it back together enough to fire it up and warm it up by 9:00 pm. Runs so much better but I'm done for the night. I finish it tomorrow.

Trans,,,,,,I don't know if I'kk get it out before I leave on vacation or not? It'll be tight.

Sounds like the motorhome is gonna be a pretty hot cruiser. While you are on vacation I will swing by and drop the trans for you, consider it a trade. :D

If I stack enough cases of beer in back, I can get'er up. Caravan going on vacation and I'm gonna kick everyone's ass to the top of each hill.

I'm way to competitive,,,,I need to calm down. Wait a minute,,,,my NOS on the motorhome,,,,,,ohhhhhhhhhh I can't wait until tomorrow.
