All, has anyone ever upgraded from the smaller 144 CI underhood blower to its larger brother the 177? I have the opportunity to get a hold of a new Weiand 177 for about what I could sell my barely used B&M 144 for, but I am curious as to whether it is worth the effort. Although 33 more cubes per revolution of the bigger blower has to mean something. Research tells me that a bigger blower should mean same air with less effort and heat, that theoretically means more power. I am curious whether anyone has seen a back to back test of these two on the same motor.

I don't know if you can get a copy of it or not, but I seem to remember that B&M had a brochure once that had engine/blower tests in it that MAY have this info??

You might try Holley and see if it is still available since they own both Weiand and B&M now.
