I was searching the local craigslist, and came across this page. Look at the prices of things!! Wouldn't we all like to turn back time.

don't forget minimum wage in 1968 was $1.25 an hour, and perhaps $1.50 in 1970-71.

How do you think the guys feel that used to own one or two of those beasts? Can you imagine if the guys kept these cars the whole time? My dad had a 67SS 396 and I told him what they are going "for" and he almost passed out. :)

i'll take two of everything listed ! gas was probably 30 cents a gallon and it was real gas. pull up to the pump and fill up your factory 11 to 1 bbc powered velle for 5or 6 bucks.

I had some local newspapers from '74 that had prices like those. I'm going to dig them up this weekend if I remember.

Back around 1981, I passed on a 69 Z/28 for $800

In 1996, I just missed a 1967 triple black RS SS 4 speed posi Camaro for $800.
Family relative got word of it being for sale and swooped in 2 days ahead of me.

The one that bothers me still to this day was the all orig 1973 Bucaneer Red Trans Am 455, 4 speed that I missed for $2000. That was around 1986. I know, had I bought that car, I'd still have it today.

I remember looking for my first car. I passed on the $500 74 Trans Am, and the $400 66 Chevelle because I found two 64 Chevelles for $800. One of them had a rebuilt 283 in it and it drove great! .............I suddenly feel much older.

Speaking of the Trans Ams, I saw a super nice one at last nights local cruise. A 74 SD 455. The car had an exceptional restoration done on it. I also saw a 68 motion nova all restored with a 427/4 spd. What a beautiful car
