Check with your local machine shops that sell eagle stuff. They can usually cut jegs' and summit's heads off if they are into selling machine work instead of trying to make a killing off kits. My machinist could get the balanced 496 eagle kits for 1625 and sell for 1670. He made enough to cover the hassle of ordering the kit and sold his machine work to make the money.
Just ask around shops.

While I'm usually a "value shopper", I don't plan on assembling this motor myself. Therefore my machinist will be involved in the decision of which kit to buy since he and his staff will be ultimately reposnsible for engine assembly and modest blueprinting.

IF I was in his shoes, I'd rather not have the customer bring in " the cheapest I could find". There may be some balancing issues, etc, that I wouldnt be aware of until I got his bill!

If you building your own and have all the required tools, I suppose this wouldn't apply. I don't have the tools, space, or expertise, to build a long-life engine that honks in my garage.

Actually on this CREB website it is spelled both ways Jerrame or Jeremy. It sounds the same both ways. Good luck graemlins/thumbsup.gif
