What fuel filters have you used in testing and what would you recommend for someone with a Blue pump or two? What regulater would you recommend for low 12's high 11's.

Marty,

Any fuel filter with 1/2" ins-n-outs is just fine.
The system I have used since 1977-78 is 2 Holley Blue pumps, side-by-side, into a Y-Block, 1/2" #8 up to the front, another Y-Block, the 2 Holley regulators on the exits of the Y-Block, and 1/2" #8 to the float bowls. Let each regulator feed ONE float bowl. If you want a fuel pressure reading, hook the 2 unused outlets together and T off that line to your fuel pressure gauge. It gives you your average fuel pressure after the regulators.
This will feed a 750-800 HP BBC with a roller cam.
I will not gaurantee ONE Holley Blue and ONE regulator will feed a 11:1 355 with a SB288/296F5 solid lifter cam.....

Hope this answers your questions...

Happy New Year!

Digging up an old post....

Just so I am clear, the pumps need to have seperate fuel lines from the tank, correct?

Thanks!!

Some people run 2 seperate lines from the tank to the pumps, others run a #8 or #10 fuel outlet at the tank, into yet another Y-Block, and 1/2" #8 lines from the Y-Block to the 2 Holley Blue pumps. Either system seems to do OK.

What you do not want to do is run 2 seperate independent fuel systems from the rear to the front----They never balance out correctly.

Your telling me, I just have one Holley Black right now. I guess I'll just grab another Holley Black and run that way.
