I really appreciate this group. And I totally respect the knowledge here.
Am very glad to have found this site some months ago. Thanks to my Camaro SB loving brother who calls himself Todd De La Muca.....and wears a dress!

Anyway,

I have posted a bit here and while I'm no expert by any means, I'm happy to share my experiences with the group. Obviously by my posts, I'm a big block guy. But I started with a 327 in a 66 Chevelle, and dang I miss that car. Next came a 68SS Chevelle that I made into a mid 10 sec drag car with a 427. This was in 1978 and no one cared about muscle cars at that time. A 68 L72 COPO 4 speed Impala Wagon (no ****) (big dumb mistake getting rid of this one) followed by a 70SS 396 Chevelle that I honestly bought from an "old lady". Honest...lived 2 doors down...she died.....drove it mostly to dialysis.... and her son sold me the car. We are still neighbors.
So now I have a ......69 Nova....not a Chevelle........which I wish I had.....but am glad to be here and have the advice and help from this group!
I raced my street 70 Chevelle more than I did my "RACE" 68 Chevelle so I sold them both to build the 69 Nova that I could drive to and from the track.
So far......I've always driven it home.....you know what I mean!

Anyway, thanks for all the advice, and I hope a few others will share Chev stories....just don't tell me what you want for Christmas. My VISA card is still smoking......

I think there are a few Oregonians here, and also some from Idaho and Washington.

SS_Sean....where do you race? Medford or Woodburn?

19Nova72.....what picture would you like to see? My wagon was way back when, and I don't have many photo's of it. It was a cool car.

A buddy of mine recently bought a '67 wagon that was originally a 396 4 speed car w/ air - with wood grain sides or at least it has all the trim on it for the wood grain surround molding !!. The car is semi apart, going through a restore/reassembly. That was the beauty of options back then, if you knew what to check off or had some contact, you could get some interesting cars built.
