So I was reading through a few posts about dying seats (etc) "Black" (SEM Landau Black)...

But what about the headliner? Should that be flat (SEM Satin black)? Is it easy to get a nice even-looking coat on the headliner?

My car ('70 Chevelle) currently has dark green interior with great headliner (replaced sometime in the recent past)...

IF I changed the color, I'd only be dying the headliner/visors, rear seat and maybe the door panels... I need a new dash pad and new seat belts, and I want to ditch the front bench seat (either "Green" reupholstered factory buckets or an aftermarket cloth bucket seat)... carpet is an easy/cheap enough replacement.

I dyed the headliner in my old 1970 442 clone from poo brown to black 7 years ago...still looks good.

I used Duplicolor vinyl and fabric dye to change mine from blue to black. Came out great and has held up for 6 years now and looks as good as the day it was done!

I recently used SEM landua black to change from dark grn to black, I sprayed to light coats at an angle ,let it dry put the car in sun light and checked coverage , then hit any light spots. Turned out great !It wasn't as much of a pain As I thought it would be.
