Anybody know the CC size?

I got this fresh set of heads with a motor I picked up. My question is can a 500-600HP be achieved with these heads? Thank you.

CC info anyone? These are peanut port heads right?

Looks like I'm looking for a set of 98-100cc BBC heads....

Do you plan on racing or mostly cruising? If cruising is your plan,I'd use the peanut ports, excellent torque. If racing there's nothing wrong with open chamber oval ports either 049's and 781's.

The only thing I've been able to find on them is open chamber. So I would ass-u-me 119 or 122cc. On the 500 to 600 hp - sure with a big enough blower it should be easy. Your were going to blow it right???

But seriously, I don't know much about these heads but I'd probably pick up a set of 049s or 781s and put my money in them. I bought a set of nice 781s and a standard bore 4 bolt 350 at a swap meet for $150. Adding oversized valves, hardened seats, porting, etc gets expensive so I'd start with a proven set of heads. For an extra $100 bucks or so it would be cheap insurance.

Just my $.02

Thats where my car runs,,,10.5-1 compression,,,untouched 049 oval ports w/ 2.19/1.88 SS valves, but that will change this winter, going for some minor port/bowl blending to see what happens.

Hi,
The best way to know for shure is to cc the chambers.Production tolerances are inaccurate and what if the heads were milled at some point in there life?A 6x6 piece of plexi, some Vaseline and a burrett marked in cc's and your set.Once you see how easy it is to check you'll never guess at it again.Just remember that it is not uncommon for the numbers to be different from clyinder to cylinder.
Peace,
Steve
