I'm getting ready to purchase a pair of complete vent window assemblies from Ground Up for my '67 SS. I would like to remove the originals and replace them with the brand new complete assemblies. I would like to gather as much information as possible before tearing into this. If anyone has done this and has do's / dont's I would appreciate the feedback. Is this a simple project or difficult?? Are there any rivets involved or is it just bolts?? Any information would be much appreciated.

Order an assembly manual also. That should help out.

I would pull an old one and compare it to your new one. removing these is a pain IMHO. Pull the door panel, remove window, remove all the fasteners for the vent window frame and pull up. You have to turn it 90 degrees to get it out of the door frame. Now compare the two. If your satified, reverse the procedure and close the door slowly. It probably won't fit right until you do some adjustments. Get an assembly manual like Freddy suggested, you won't be sorry.
