Ive got gas spraying out of the top of my 4 barrel carb. The car wont stay running without your foot on the gas. plz help!!!

obviously a float/needle/seat problem. if it's a holley you can pull the needle/seat assemblies and clean them. could be a bad float.

have a fire extinguisher handy before trying to start again.

I just had a very similiar problem and I'm almost 100% sure its the float. Luckily for me I have multiple carbs and was able to swap them out.

DONT KEEP RUNNING IT WITH FUEL SQUIRTING OUT OF THE VENT TUBE,IT CAN EASILY BACKFIRE THROUGH CARB SETTING YOUR MOTOR/CAR ON FIRE.

With that said just like already stated the needle & seat is sticking in the carb thats causing the fuel rush.

The carb needs to be cleaned & rblt and dont forget to install a new fuel filter before installing the carb after it's rblt.
