I'm having a problem getting the chrome Muncie shifter ball unscrewed from the shaft. Any suggestions ? It's still in the car.

Is there a setscrew on the stock ball?

It should just unscrew from the handle. Look and see if there is a "lock nut" underneath the ball. If there is, you'll have to loosen it first.
