I have a 67 chevelle and my brake light on the dash is flashing even when the car is off and i dont have any back brake lights.I just fixed the horn and scraped the fuse box to get my parking lights so ithink they are fine(the fuse block i mean)Does the brake light mean emergency brake or is it the wire on the proportioning valve?This is what happens when you dont drive you car for four years.

If its flashing with car off, most likely it is the emergency brake switch. As a test, put a small piece of rubber between the contact and ground to see if it stops.
