Hello UDHarold

I have a Lunati custom ground (Pt# 50199) solid roller cam for a SBC. The grind # is RRA-244-254. Specs 244/254 @ .050, 286/289 Adv., .555/.564 lift, w/ 112 LSA.

I would like to run this cam in my 383 for street/road race.

First off, would you recommend a solid roller for the street or should I stay with a FT cam.

Second, what spring psi should I be looking at for this cam with tit. retainers and 116g intake valve.

I have a set of Crane lifters that have a oil feed orfice. What are your recommendations for lifters.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide
Dave

Dave,

That is a legacy cvam for Lunati, and I'll have to look at the printout to truthfully answer your questions.
However, I have used cams of similar specs for years of reliable street driving, and I would think about 175 lbs on the seat, 420 lbs open whould be good to 7000. The cam will probably peak around 6200, and it would not be worth it to wind it much over 7000.
The Cranes with the oil-feed orfice should work just fine.
