I'm runing the 850lb coils w/ adjusters up front and 11" 175lb rear springs and I'm just finding its a little much for the street. I added late model f-body spring insulators to gain about 1/2" (popular free mod for f-body guys to ditch those), but its still just too low IMO. I was going to add some jeep coil spacers (they use them to lift stock rigs, 3/4 - 2" is common), but they are between $30-50. I also thought about going with 12" coils, but I'm still not sure exactly where I want the car to sit.

A set of these run $50, and I've never seen them with no extension before and thought it would be neat/convenient to have 4 wheel adjustable height to really nail the stance I'm looking for. 0-2" adjustable.

Interesting, I could really see those coming in handy.

Try these. They are much easyer to use but a little on the pricey side. http://www.budzter.com/index.html

Does anyone know a supplier and part number or what model of car or truck that supplies a poly coil spring isolator for the 5.5" dia. Hypercoil rear spring mod. ? I'd like to use one at the top of my rear springs but I can't seem to find one that fits a 5.5" dia. spring. Energy suspentions makes them http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/sboots.html for all kinds of applications but I can't find any info for sizes for specific makes and models that would use a 5.5" dia. spring. I went to there web site and saw info on them but nothingseems to apply to the I.D. and O.D. for this spring.

Per Derek's recommendation, I'm using these on all 4 corners of my '66 BB wagon...200 lb rear springs and 575 lb fronts...Bilstein shocks, SC&C Stage II Plus front suspension.

I'm running 175# 11" Hyperco's on my '69 without any shims, and it is very low... too low, but it looks so good, I don't want to change it. :) See sig for its stance. :) I bought shims for it, but decided to leave it low, and used the shims on my wife's '66.

those would be easier but I don't want to cut a hole in my trunk. I won't be making "on the fly" adjustments anyway. Set it and forget it.

I believe jeeps use 5.5" coils. (cherokee/grand cherokee). Late model F-bodies (94+) do. I can get the GM part number off the insulators I just bought if you want.

The spring adjusters that I mentioned mount under the spring on the spring perch on the axle. Super easy to install and adjust. Take another look at the web site.

I noticed that you are in Denver, we should try to hook up sometime, I'm in Thornton. Did you make it to the Good Guys show this weekend?

What's the PN on those isolators and what is the thickness? Those look like a very good option. I'm currently running 3/8" fiber reinforced rubber spacers on top my 11" springs (which works fine) but that looks like a much "cleaner" solution.

the spring recess gets deeper as it coils around, but I gained around 1/2" over the springs being metal to metal. Fits the 5.5" springs perfect.

GM part # 10290379 labeled "upper insulator"

You could probably pull a set off the LS1tech.com classifieds or something for cheap. Like I said its pretty popular for the f-body guys to ditch those when using lowering springs or just to level the rear of a stock car.

We`ve been running those threaded ones on the back of our G body G-5 car for years. Easy install and they work good. Mark SC&C

I had 'spring jacks' on my chevelle's rear springs. They welded into the stock upper spring perch, and had a threaded shaft that extended up into the trunk. Adjustment was as simple as reaching in the trunk with a 1/2" rachet and turning them. Worked very good for adjusting/leveling ride height and for tweaking launching and handling.
