Im building a 70 SS with a new engine /trans and want to know if anyone out there has installed a Hurst Comp plus shifter in a 70 with a console, using a Borg Warner Super T-10....Hurst only has listings and their tech dept only knows how to use a muncie or saginaw trans for that year.....The car had a comp plus with a bench seat originally in it , but with the new interior with buckets and console its to far to the left so a new bracket and shifter is needed for the Borg T-10 to work....anyone been thru this delema before and know what Hurst bracket or what can be modified to fit without rebuilding the car.
Thanks..........Larry

Going back a few years now!
But back in the day I had a 70 SS, and went thru a couple of muncies, and finally got my hands on a Super T-10
I reused my Hurst "Super Shifter" shifter, now I had to modify my tiunnel for the the straight arms but the bolt ups I believe were the same !

the correct tower will have a dog leg to the right to fit console regardless Should bolt the same to tranny of muncie saginaw super T10 the difference would be in the linkage as the dogs ar slots are twisted quite a bit no different than a regular t 10 such as a early corvette

So far Ive got the chevelle shifter with the offset to the right, but the problem is the plate thast mounts it to the trans, the one for the muncie wont fit since the bolt holes are different and there isnt enough room on the bracket to redrill some new ones, and the super t10 bracket I have mounts the shifter up to high, I need to know if there is a super t-10 bracket that mounts the shifter to the trans without raising it up...................
