Well that depends on the intended usage of the car. As it is I think it will be a fun ride. If your going for long drives (hwy), depending upon tire size the rear gears are steep. 3.42's to 3.73's max would work well. If its a weekend hotrod.....should be just about right.

What's the compression? That cam will be OK in as low as 8.5:1 but will need at least 10:1 to be at it's best. Good combo if 10:1 is the case.

I would go with a different converter. BM 2400 is a "loose" 11"/12" converter. I run a "tight" 10" converter. Both units will stall roughly the same range, but the smaller - tighter converter is more efficient. For comparison, check out the Transmission Specialties 10LS (10" low stall).

i agree on the B&M 2400. it will be ok, but not very efficient. i'd probably have a tight 10" with about a 3000 stall.

My 2 cents I have 9.5:1 408,= 402BBC .030 over. I run a Comp flat Hyd 270H stock Intake Stock Dist. = Points .& Stock Carb = Rochester all off my 1972 SS. It made 403HP on dyno runs great in car but pruduces only 13-14 In Vac. So P/brakes work so so. My set up is 2800 10 Conv. W/3.55 gears. Hope this helps
Gary.

I ran this same setup with only 8.5:1, Weiand intake, Holley carb, electronic ign, and produced the same 14" vac. My p/brakes worked excellent, you might check your booster.

Ditto. I ran the same cam and my power brakes have been flawless.

my power brakes worked ok with 5" of vacuum and worked flawlessly with 9" of vacuum. i too think something must be wrong to have problems with 13-14" of vacuum.

Running the Voodoo 60203 in a 396 with 10.5:1. Definitely have to hit the brakes. Not sure if there is any vacuum with this cam. But boy does it sound good WOW.
