I was considering going with Vortecs but by the time I get the pieces I need to do the conversion I will be about the same price as as set of Dart Iron Eagles or similar. I have seen some new Darts on ebay for about $650 or so. My engine runs great with the XE262 cam but runs out of steam early. The guy who built the motor used stock springs when he did the cam so this might be part of the problem. Eventually I want to step up the cam 1 or 2 sizes and add a converter. Right now I want to get rid of my 76cc heads and get 64 or 72cc heads but don't know what runner size I need. I want compression and torque!. Thanks for any input.

They all should be right around 158 to 160 or so cc's..
Look at probably a 170 to 180 cc head and say a 268 to 274 advertised duration cam and you should be fine!!
I guess what I am trying to say is don't let the "Bigger Is Better" thing bite you..

I was trying to decide between 180 and 200 cc heads. What is the smallest cam that should be used with a 200cc runner?. Do I go with 64cc or 72cc?. Thanks

From what I've been told, 72cc heads will flow better, but the 64cc heads have better flame travel and is easier to get a higher compression.
If you want compression and torque, get 180cc heads with 64cc chambers IMO.

fried guy, thats what I was thinking for my current setup. I know when I go bigger on the cam and add the stall I might regret not going 200cc and 64cc graemlins/clonk.gif
