Probably not an original idea but this was the answer to changing #6 spark plug. Its a bear on my car with headers even with short plugs. Left just enough on the hex end to hang a wrench. Took about 5 minutes to make... graemlins/hurray.gif Now if I could find out why I keep gas fouling the plugs.. graemlins/sad.gif http://home.hot.rr.com/importtech/misc/plugsocket.jpg

I cut off a plug socket to the depth I needed and use a 5/8" box wrench on it and its worked great on various cars. And to start the new plug, use a peice of fuel or vacuum line that fits over the plug.

Looks just like an O2 sensor socket!
I also made a socket for my plugs. I removed enough material from the middle of the socket (kinda like yours, but w/o the cutout) to make the entire unit about 1", then welded it back together. This way I can stick the sucker on the plug and use a box-end wrench to install/remove the plug. Works like a charm!

I use a deep offset box end on my Camaro.
Forgot the I had it till I cracked a plug.
...why is my vacuum lower w/ a smaller cam?
