As I get closer to making a decision on rear-end/gear swap, I am wondering this:
Does a gear swap (3.08 to 3.55 or 3.73) have a larger impact (performance wise) on a smaller cube motor ? In other words, will my 396 car respond more than lets say the same car with a 454, assuming all else is equal ? I have read that a 396 is really not a torque motor and needs plenty of stall and gear to make them quick. Very general I realize but looking for some guidance.
