Does anyone know if anyone makes a crank pulley spacer ?? for a BBC I'm using a GM cast deep groove crank pulley from an L88 and I need to move my pulley out about 1/16th to make it line up ...... with an aftermarket SFI balancer , Stewart water pump and a Jones billet water pump pulley no surprise it's not in perfect alignment ...... water pump pulley is in asfar is it can go ......can't machine water pump to block surface cause it already tight up against alum 2pc timing cover ...... only option I see is spacing out crank pulley .any ideas ???? I really want to insure I get the belts in perfect alignment Bill

Bill,
I'd just machine the inside of the billet pump pulley if it's only 1/16" as long as the pulley won't hit the pump housing.
CV Products has a spacer but I believe like 3/16" thick. Don't remember seeing a thinner one.

Thanks for reply Mike .....unfortunately the pulley is only about 1/16th away from pump housing so no go there .... so no reason I couldn't somehow make up a spacer if I had too ?

Don't know of any spacers, but maybe take an old stock pulley and just cut out the mounting portion. Those stock stamped pulleys seem pretty thin... and maybe the small block pulleys have the same bolt spacing/pattern... Should be easy and cheap...

Gene ... good idea but then how do you torque the balancer bolt ??
Mike .... checked CV site and yes they makes crank pulley spacers .. .125 , .200, .250 so maybe the 1/8 might be the answer ...unless I can move the balancer out

Bill, It's only 50 thou, just thought maybe you could schooch it out. In my experience the balancer bolt won't budge the balancer, but it isn't alot of experience. ;)
