went to a night run and ran a 12.17 at 111
1/8th mile7.785@90mph
60' was 1.85 ,I had to ease it out of the hole to keep from spinning
this is with a 454 with 781 heads. It should run a little faster when I get the car tuned.

I should have weighed the car but it was 1:00 am so I just wanted to load the car because it runs too hot all the time,I have to figure out the overheating issue before I can run it too much more.

i'd get that timing checked out, you might get two birds with one stone right there. it might solve your heat issues and get that thing into the 11's where it belongs. ;)

thanks for the input. i need to get the timing sorted out and set the valves and try it again. I dont really know my exact compression but I am not sure if I would hear it pinging or detonating or not but I may put a couple gallons of race gas in just to be safe. but I would rather just run the 87 octane because of the price of race fuel now.
