I ran in a footbrake race over in SC this past weekend. They had some top alcohol funny cars as well as a pair of jet funny cars. The also had a track photographer snapping some pics. Here's a pretty decent pic of my car:

I went out in the 3rd round :( I did manage to get some new best 60' times despite the poor air (3,500' DA). The guy I was pitted with (Travis Bryant) went on to win the race and the $1,000 payout.

Sweet!!! If you went to Jackson, can I assume you found that Montgomery was only running 1/8 mile also? Also, 3rd round ain't too shabby...I'm generally happy to win ONE round in the Sportsman class. Travis normally runs at Commerce too, right?

Jackson, SC is a hard hooking track! My best pass Saturday was 6.86@98.7. My 1/8 MPH was off by 2 MPH but the ET was pretty good for that air, all due to a pretty quick 60'. I can't wait to run there later in the year when it cools off ;) I'm planning to tighten up the rear shocks for the next outing as I'm getting full extrension in the rear. Maybe I'll have a good wheelie and an even better 60' to show for it.

I would have liked to have gone some more rounds. I always seem to have trouble at night. I went red in the 3rd round. It's a shame because I put together several .02-.03 packages earlier in the day during open time trials and dash for the cash.

My best pass (package-wise) of the day was:
