Turned out to be a beautiful start to the holiday weekend, so I took the 'bird out for a cruise around the south shore. Stopped at Sandy Beach for some pics for Dave (BLN) so he'd quit buggin' me for them in the chatroom every week. ;) :D Dave, you wanted beach background, you've got it. :)

I also got a chance to stop by the boat shop in Kailua, check out the Hobie kayaks with the pedal propulsion. Very nice boats, would be great for the windy days we get that try to blow you offshore. :yes: Turns out one of the salesmen there is a car guy, just got done restoring a '65 Corvette. He liked the Firebird, and was well informed about it, so I let him sit in it. :)

I also saw quite a few people who must feel the same way as I do about the weather. Spotted a nice '70 Chevelle, '66 Mustang, '55 Chevy, '34 Ford Tudor, a pink '59 Caddy, and lots of bikes out on the road today, and those were just the ones going the other way. :yes:

Just went kayaking yesterday with my son. However, it wasn't in the Hawaiin surf, just one of the local lakes. Still fun though.
