I don't think a 4:56 gear ratio was an option, but rather an installation on the owners part.

In 1968 4;56 and 4;88 were dealer installed options,they were avalible,just wondering how many people ordered the 4:56

That is correct, and the only statistics that are available are the production numbers. In '68, RPO H05 was the highest numerical ratio that could be ordered from the factory, it was 3.73:1, there were 5553 of those built. To my knowledge, there are no records of how many 4.56 or 4.88 gears were ordered by the dealerships in 1968, and it wouldn't matter, because there's no way of knowing what year, or model car they were installed into. This is true of any of the dealer installed options.
