Still researching parts for a 383 stroker. The piston manufacturers list a compression ratio with each piston with each head cc size. Is this compr. ratio assuming a zero deck block?After thinking about this more it is probably with a standard deck height. Right?

It varies from mfg to mfg. They should state what the quench distance is or what deck and gasket thickness they measured at. Many don't. If you can find the cc's of the piston, you can easily calculate it using one of the online CR calculators, and this is the best way. A couple are linked in my sig.
