Hey All,

I recently installed a cowl hood on my 70'Chevelle, and I'm finding all the parts
I needed to making it operational (flaps, etc..).
Does this seem to be everything? OPGI has some great packages with everything.. but I refuse to buy from them, so everything is from GroundUP.

- Lid, Base, filter, steel flange, rubber seal

- Inner door setup:

- Outer Door setup:

I'm hoping/beliving bushings, bolts, brakets, screen etc... are all included.

-One thing I wasn't sure about was the cowl spacer and bolt

Thanks all for the help!

You should call and ask for Ken, he will know the answer to your questions.

Cx1 (orwhateveryournameis),
It appears as if you have most everything included in your list. Some things missing are the wire harness and relay that goes between the switch at the accelerator pedal and the inner door solenoid. There is also a grommet which goes in the hole on the underside of the hood for the wire to pass through.

The hinge brackets for the outer door are supposed to have spacers between them and the hood. As far as I know they are NOT available and you will either have to make your own or use washers.
Depending on what you use for a manifold/carb setup, you may or may not need the spacer between the top of the carb and air cleaner. The factory stock, lo-rise manifold/carb setups need the spacer, but aftermarket hi-rise manifolds usually eliminate the need for the spacer.
WARNING: WHEN YOU INSTALL THE TWO SMALL BOLTS ON EACH HINGE BRACKET FOR THE OUTER DOOR, BE CAREFUL OF THE THREAD LENGTH. IF THEY ARE TOO LONG, THEY WILL PUNCH UP A DENT FROM THE INSIDE OF THE HOOD AND YOU WILL END UP WITH 4 DIMPLES ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOOD!

Why won't people use their "real" names?
