Looking at a 70 represented as a SS. Trim tag reads 75 Cranberry Red and it is that color. Seats are buckets in correct red trim. Trim tag reads 787 which is red fabric bench. My questions are:

1. Being red fabric does that mean cloth.
2. If it is cloth what was the chance it was a true SS with a cloth bench
seat.
It is your typical SS type car NOM 454,a/c,auto, older resto that could be real or not. A car you could easily pay too much for. I was high bidder at $22 so it did not attract a lot of interest. Some of these auto cars now can put you in the danger zone.

Thanx

John, 787 is the code for red vinyl bench seat interior. I work at a GM dealer and the old catalog lists it as RED FABRIC for some reason. I've owned a '70 LS-5 since 1990 and it is coded 19-19 787 and it still retains the original vinyl seat covers. I'd love to have a red on red car, where was it advertised? I hope this helps, Troy.

22K for a NOM 454 SS, (original SS or not) is pretty reasonable if it has a nice body, frame and resonably decent cosmetics in engine/interior.

Pics?
