I am just making sure that advancing a cam lowers the peak HP rpm, and retarding a cam raises the peak HP rpm!? Does that also mean that if your intake valve closes at say 62* ABDC, that retarding it 4* makes it close at 66* ABDC? I need to know this for calculating the dynamic C/R. My cam is a bit small and I want to make the engine think its a little bigger. Thanks, Scott

Advancing the cam raises the DCR, Less advance lowers it. You're right about the timing change.
