: protection coating for master cylinder? Gus May 22nd, 07, 12:35 PM Hey Folks, I was wondering what coating, if any, do you use on the master cylinder to protect the natural finish. I see Eastwood has something but more like a grey paint. Don't know if that would change the appearance. Know this, though, DOT 5 does not perform as positively as the 3-4 and is more inclined to draw moisture into the system. This why many restorers use stainless lines when they fill their systems with DOT 5. I have used DOT 5 in my car since I put it on the road in '94 and it has done OK for a limited street driven car. | ||
