Looking for a new multimeter/tach. Surfing the net, I'm interested in the Fluke FL-78 ( http://fluke.com/products/home.asp?PID=2279 ) and the OTC-3505 ( http://www.etoolcart.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2148 ). But I also see this Equus INN-5568 ( http://www.iequus.com/item.asp?cid=20&pid=5568 ), which is a timing light with tach, dwell, and some multi-meter functions. Anyone have any opinions on what they like and the quality of the above tools? The Fluke has a lifetime warranty, which I like; + the Fluke and the OTC also have temp sensors, which would be helpful. What I really need minimally is the tach function, cause my current multimeter / tach lost it's tach function. But, overkill is always good :D . Thanks in advance.

Hobart, we use flukes on airplanes, they are reliable, and tough. The auto-range features will make it very useable, but they can be pricey. Just my .02. good luck, Daren

We use fluke multimeters at work. I like them so well I actually wanted to buy one for personal use, but when I saw the price for one.....

Thanks guys. Leaning towards the Fluke - probably never have to replace it again. Anyone else?

I have a Fluke 87-III multimeter, a Fluke 105B Oscilloscope, and a Fluke 787 Process-meter. All of these are for my own personal use.

My company supplies me with a Fluke 87-III and a 787, but they like me to use a Tektronix Oscilloscope.

In short, I love Fluke meters!
