I purchased a complete interior kit from a well known company. I covered my seats, etc myself. Took the interior to the body shop to install it in my car and the headliner, side sails and carpet are twice as dark as the seats, dash, etc. The car is a 71 malibu with jade green interior. I called the supplier and they told me that in 71 the carpet and headliner was supposed to be alot darker than the rest of the interior. I may be wrong, but it just dosen't look right to me and I was wondering if this was true or if the whole interior was supposed to be jade green instead of a jade/dark green mix. Would like to hear your opinions before Wednesday when I install the interior. Thanks for any help guys and come on Chevellabration. Tony

I no expert on 71 interior colors but my Lt Blue interior on the 67 SS has the same situation. dark dash pad, carpet, and kick panels. the rest of the interior is Lt Blue

I agree, the dash pad and plastic pieces are a different shade than the seats, vinyl pieces and the carpet and headliner are darker too. It's just the way things were.

My seats are lighter than everything else also. I thought it was just from fading?
