I got off the phone with Autometer earlier and was told that in order to put my new electric sending unit in I would have to buy a 1" extension fitting and a 90 fitting so that I wouldn't have clearance issues. I don't see why I would have any issues but just wondering if you guys did that. Its on a SBC with MSD distributer if that helps any.

Well I just took the old sender out and there is no way to put it in without more fittings so off to the hardware tomorrow.

Mine's on an extension pipe because the sender doesn't clear the manifold. I also have a Tee so I can run the factory idiot light.

GM has one. It's for a 87 era 5.7. It's to mount a oil light switch in the galley hole over the oil filter area. I just got mine this morning, since I needed one too. I already have a tee for a dual terminal switch for my electric fuel pump, and the other side is for the oil pressure gauge. I wanted to have the light working too (redundant I know), and on my 1999 block, the oil pressure switches will hit or be too close to the headers. This fitting is just shy of 2-1/2" long has 1/4-18 thread. There's also fitting #14092340 which has 1/8-27 thread, which should work behind the distributor, but I haven't seen it in person.
