I've noticed on a few '70 SS cars the brake distribution block actually bolted below the master cylinder. My '71 has the distribution block down below near the frame. My assembly manual shows RPO J50 (vacuum brakes) with front and rear lines only coming out of the master cylinder and down with no block. Which is correct??

The block hanging under the older Chevelle masters is a proportioning valve. In 71 that valve was eliminated and combined with the dist block on the frame. So the correct set-up for 71 power disc's is to have the two lines go directly from the master, to the block on the frame.

Thanks Bill, I feel better now that I know mine is correct.
